At Howling Heart Fitness we use functional movement to promote health and fitness. We run coached classes in small groups. All our classes are open to all abilities and fitness levels.

We are located in the middle of Clonakilty and love to welcome new members! We are all about our community (our pack) and having fun while improving your overall wellness. We have a high number of members that have been with us from the start, this loyalty and consistency is what we are all about!

Wellness is the absence of disease and we all want to fit into the category of wellness where we don’t need to visit the doctor regularly because we are always sick, instead we want to push off sickness and therefore push off the nursing homes as much as we can. We all want to be able to play outside or do activities with our grandchildren and just be well!!

Let’s get you better at lifting, pushing, pulling, running and jumping because the direct correlation to improving these markers are improved health markers (except for the odd outliers - genetic, environmental, traumatic etc). As your lifting numbers increase and your 1 mile run, 2km rows and bodyweight etc come down, so does your triglyceride levels, cholesterol, resting heart rate etc.

We would love for you all to have a fulfilled, happy, healthy lives. We want you to be an addition to your families when you're 70, 80 and well on into your 90s and not a hindrance where you must be looked after. Doctors are lifeguards. Trainers are swim coaches. When you need a lifeguard, you need a lifeguard, not a swim coach but, if you need a lifeguard, you probably needed a swim coach and didn’t get one.

As trainers in Howling Heart Fitness, we can help you learn to swim so that you hopefully will never need a lifeguard.

Great place, great people. I've loved every bit of my time spent in Howling Heart, so much so that I'm running away with the coach! Ok, so I may be a bit bias, but this place is so welcoming and chilled that I spent more and more time there, just because I wanted to. It has that real community feel that's hard to find in the most established of gyms. I joined at the start of July. I thought I was relatively fit after coming back from London for the summer. Turns out I was wrong...! However embarrassed I might have felt about the state of my fitness, no one batted an eyelid, in fact, it was completely the opposite! Bundles of encouragement to finish the session from all the members and coaches ensured that by the end of my two months, I can honestly say that I'm fitter, more mobile and stronger than ever before. To top it all off I got my first ring muscle up on my last day and a personal best in my snatch. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure to train with you guys. What an asset to the heart of Clonakilty!

I was in Clonakilty on holidays and found this awesome place to workout . The equipment was top notch and the Coaches where extremely welcoming and helpful. I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in a good workout! HH Fitness it's a great place to start as I saw the coaches taking care of every single person, who's new to this fantastic and safe sport! I would highly recommend Howling Heart fitness to anyone.The coaches are fab and are really supportive.They are highly experienced and are great to get you motivated. The encouragement and the high fives really makes you feel special. I love a challenge and at HowlingHeart you sure get that.Every night you do something different which I like as there is no room for boredom like other exercise classes and gyms.The only person you compete with is your self and it's a great feeling when you out do your self. I love it and I bet if you tried it you would too

Love it here. It's the best coaching anyone can get, I have done this type of training for a while but in only being here a few weeks I have knocked so much off my to achieve list already and it is Purely down to the coaching. Kieran and Ets take the Wax on Wax off approach. Just like in karate kid they take it back to the basics and then in no time you are achieving things you didn't think possible it makes such a difference when the coach's are hands on and take time with u to explain, encourage, and celebrate when u hit so many goals u never thought possible.
