At Howling Heart Fitness & Nutrition we use functional movement and a habit-based nutrition approach to promote long-term health.
We run coached classes in small groups. All our classes are open to all abilities and fitness levels.
We also believe that something as fundamental as nutrition shouldn't be complicated which is why we focus on a simple habit-based approach.
We know that helping people make health a way of life is just about one way. We use a holistic approach looking at sleep, stress management, support system, exercise, nutrition and lifestyle.
We are located in the middle of Clonakilty and love to welcome new members! We are all about our community (our pack) and having fun while improving your overall wellness. We have a high percentage of members that have been with us from the start, this loyalty and consistency are what we are all about!
Wellness is the absence of disease and we all want to fit into this category!
We don’t want to visit the doctor regularly because we are always sick, instead, we want to push off sickness and push off the nursing homes as much as we can.
Low muscle mass increases your risk of falls and fractures, reduces your strength and mobility, contributes to metabolic issues like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease and can lead to higher rates of hospitalisation and mortality. It also impairs your ability to perform daily tasks, impacting your independence and quality of life.
By prioritising resistance training and adequate nutrition, individuals can build and maintain muscle mass, preserving strength and independence and reducing the risk of long-term care needs.
Let’s get you stronger, with more lean muscle mass. As your strength & conditioning improves and your body fat % comes down, so do your markers for cardiovascular disease like triglyceride levels, cholesterol, resting heart rate etc.
We would love for you all to have fulfilled, happy, healthy lives. We want you to be an addition to your families when you're 80 and well on into your 90s and not a hindrance where you must be looked after.
Doctors are lifeguards. Trainers are swim coaches. When you need a lifeguard, you need a lifeguard, not a swim coach but if you need a lifeguard, you probably needed a swim coach and didn’t get one.
As trainers in Howling Heart Fitness, we can help you learn to swim so that you hopefully will never need a lifeguard.
